Sony Ericsson's K750i and W800i cellphones are basically identical when it comes down to hardware.  The only really differences are in the housing and keypads used and the software/firmware on each.  What this means is that you can buy a K750i and then convert your phone to be a W800i walkman phone.  More info to come on this. 

With that being said, I am a true believer in these phones.  They are probably one of the first true convergence cellphone.  The media player/mp3 player in the phone is decent and 1GB on a Duo stick is perfect for a day out snowboarding.  The 2megapixel camera is a nice bonus too.  Sure, it won't replace your normal digital camera (trust me, i've tried) but its a kick in the pants compared to any other cellphone cameras. 

The SE UI in the phone is probably one of the best i've seen for some time.  I really like the customization you are allowed w/the Theme Creator program.  Check out my gallery for some Walkman based themes I've created.

However, there has been one nagging bug that has followed the SE's latest highend models, the ever infamous 'power phone off, then try to turn back on and get White screen of death (wsod) or no screen and blinking IR).  I have just recently added a new page on how to fix this problem for free using Wotanserver.com's client!  After selling my K800i; the buyer experienced this SAME problem; had him send back to me and i fixed asap (after reading on hofo forums about problems).  Most times, a firmware update will resolve the problem too (in the case of W800i / K750i ).

I love Sony phones but this is a problem they must resolve asap, especially when you consider the phones that this happens to are usually the models that cost well over $300 (my K800i ran me about $430 in aug 06).
