| Overview: This is
section is dedicated to tips, hotkeys, registry hacks, general help
and how-to on the new T-Mobile MDA phone and Windows Mobile 5 OS.
On Feb 22, 2006, T-Mobile USA released
the MDA to the North American market. Previously, T-Mobile had
released the European variant (MDA Vario) to Germany and then most
of Europe around Nov 2005. The last year or so, T-Mobile USA
has been revamping most of their data networks and towers and have
thus rolled out their EDGE network almost unnoticed or promoted.
However, the MDA and SDA (smartphone
version) mark T-Mobile official entry into the high-speed cellular
data networks.
I got my MDA on Feb 22 and so far
have been having mix reviews on it. However, it has been a
whlie since i've dealt with a Windows PocketPC/PDA/Mobile OS and
Windows Mobile 5 marks a total revamp of the pocketpc/smartphone os
from MS. Basically they have consolidated the smartphone and
pocketpc(pda) os's into a complete all in one package. The
main difference lies in "persistent" storage; meaning a full battery
discharge does not mean that your device is gone and wiped.
But as a new portable OS it does
have its flaws, faults and bugs. Hopefully this section will help
you get your MDA or K-Jam or Qtek or HTC Wizard running faster than
it did.
Peace
